I love being able to pull up like this and not worry about damaging anything. Also this is my favourite spot at Metrotown, when I have to go there. You’d have to try pretty damn hard to ding me.

CONFESSION: It's a major pet peeve of mine when people park like this. Even if it's a truck. Just learn where the front of your car is!

I know what you mean. But it’s way worse when you see them overhanging half (I’m not exaggerating, literally HALF) of the sidewalk. Oh, that gets on my nerves...

I’m doing that so I can open my door, otherwise there’s a pillar in the way. If my car was lower, I couldn’t use that spot unless I got out the passenger side. Plus it’s not like it’s a narrow sidewalk at all. I wouldn’t do that if I was going to be impeding wheelchairs or anything.

I sympathize with the situation, but for me the correct solution would be to just back in.

Oh god, I hate it.
“Derp da derp, I’ll just pull up until it stops, derp derp”

That spot would be a bitch to line up for to reverse in, plus then my girlfriend wouldn’t be able to open the passenger door. I can get why it annoys you, but with the width of the sidewalk I’m nosing over a bit, it affects literally no one adversely.

The front of my e38 will clear many parking blocks just fine on the approach. While backing out however the front lip will often catch, making a terrible sound, and usually forcing me to get out and reinstall my fog lights as they’re just dangling by the harness at that point.

Oh god, I've done that with old bmws before. The foglights do like to pop out

Please don’t tell the guy I sold my old E34 to how many times I did that to the fog lights.
